The Chorten Tower
During the ascent of the Himalayas, Tintin, Haddock and the sherpa Tarkey come face to face with a chorten.
Despite the sherpas’ warning, Haddock passes to the right of the chorten, which brings bad luck, and thus a series of catastrophes ensues that will cost the Captain his beloved whisky.
Chorten (in Tibetan) or Stupa (in Sanskrit), a funerary monument in which the ashes of great lamas are kept.
