On board a polar ship under the command of Captain Haddock, Tintin and a few European scientists set out for the Arctic Ocean, where a meteorite containing an unknown metal has crashed. But as soon as they learn that another ship is also heading for the strange meteorite, their expedition turns into a real race against time.
