First Articulated Teddy Bear 35cm - Collectible Plush Toy
€219,00
In 1902, Richard Steiff designed and created an articulated bear - the first toy of its kind in the world - the 55 PB bear. Images from Steiff's archive documents provide valuable information about its appearance, as does its name. The letters stand for "P" = plush, "B" = movable, and 55 is its standing height.
The world's first teddy bear is delighted to be part of a new series of iconic characters made from alternative materials, in the "Teddies for Tomorrow" series. It proudly wears the company's 1897 logo as a medallion around its neck.
