Asterix, formerly Asterix the Gaul, is a French comic book series created on October 29, 1959 by the French writer René Goscinny and the French artist Albert Uderzo in issue no. 1 of the French magazine Pilote. After René Goscinny’s death in 1977, Albert Uderzo continued the series alone, then handed it over in 2013 to Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad. Statuette made entirely of resin and hand-painted.
