Man first walked on the Moon in 1969. Yet in 1954, Tintin and his famous companions got there first and, in the album Explorers on the Moon, discovered the Moon’s magnificent landscapes. The iconic sequel to Destination Moon, the voyage to Earth’s satellite by the most famous of Belgian reporters left a lasting mark on a whole generation!
A faithful replica of Tintin’s rocket, the 30 cm Tintin rocket is made of high-quality resin and comes in a printed cardboard box. From the “Images iconiques” collection, the Moulinsart Tintin rocket is numbered and not limited. Tintin’s lunar rocket remains true to Hergé’s illustrations and retains its emblematic red-and-white checkerboard pattern.
Hergé, who was passionate about science, imbued his work with hyperrealism, particularly in Tintin’s lunar adventures. The lunar rocket decorated with a red-and-white checkerboard has become a true symbol not only of Hergé’s work, but of comics in general. This new rocket (2016 edition), a 30 cm-high resin piece based on a drawing from the album Explorers on the Moon, is made using very high-quality materials. Each rocket is packed in a rectangular box and comes with a certificate. Treat yourself or give a loved one a superb gift!
