Tintin Box Set: Soviet, Congo, America - 3 Albums
€59,00
Totally different from the current edition, the Tintin boards published in Le Petit Vingtième between January 1929 and October 1932 reveal a rounder, more spontaneous, and flexible graphic style, as well as a composition art influenced by Art Deco.
In this early style of Hergé, the elegant stylization that would become more visible from The Blue Lotus onwards is already evident. This colorization respects the black lines and flat areas drawn and placed by Hergé but offers an unprecedented palette of colors that surprisingly enhances the readability of the story and the clarity of the drawings, providing a new reading experience of these albums.
This colorization campaign will cover the first nine albums serialized in Le Petit Vingtième, then Le Soir-Jeunesse.
Each volume is introduced by a preface, which provides information on the genesis of these stories and their publication context in light of previously unpublished documentary sources.
